During March 2020, when the health crisis began due to the outbreak of COVID-19, different countries began to be severely affected and their health centers collapsed. Knowing the current state of the Venezuelan health system, a clear concern arose. However, it was not until we observed the consequences generated by the outbreak in countries such as Spain and Italy, that we decided to act and take advantage of the time that we still have before reaching a critical situation. The Aura project was born as a non-profit initiative, of students and engineering professionals in collaboration with professionals in the health sector. To facilitate distribution and use, all designs and solutions generated by this initiative are open source under the GNU GPLv3 license.
